Potential January Signings for Arsenal

Denis Suarez

Arsenal are still going through a transition period under the guidance of new coach Unai Emery after he was the man chosen to replace long-standing legendary manager Arsene Wenger last year.

The former Sevilla boss began his reign strongly at the Emirates and oversaw an early surge with his inherited Gunners ranks.

Although, form and fortunes have come to somewhat of a stall in recent weeks. They are now off the pace for challenging for the Premier League title and are instead fighting for a top-four spot.

Arsenal are falling behind in pursuit of a Champions League place for next season as well, but they are now available at 7/2 with bet365 in the Premier League betting to turn proceedings around and secure a top-four place this term.

If the north London outfit are going to achieve such a feat or even push their rivals Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United all the way to the end of the campaign, then Emery will likely need to strengthen his Gunners ranks.

So, here are some potential January signings for the man at the Arsenal helm during this winter window.

Denis Suarez

Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez is the big switch rumoured to be close for Arsenal, with Emery in need of a boost in his central ranks, particularly after they agreed to let Welshman Aaron Ramsey leave for Italian giants Juventus.

The Spaniard has been linked with a promising loan switch to the Emirates, with Emery having previously insisted that any deals would be temporary rather than permanent this month.

Suarez, now 25 years old, would be a potentially decisive move for the Gunners as they hope to move further up the standings this term.

Yannick Carrasco

Former Atletico Madrid wideman Yannick Carrasco hit the headlines 12 months ago when he swapped La Liga for the riches of China at such an early stage of his young career.

The 25-year-old is now being lined up for a return to Europe, and Arsenal are reportedly leading the chase. The Belgium international winger would be a huge signing for Emery and his Gunners.

Carrasco could well prove to be a decisive player for Arsenal if they can land his services this month.

James Rodriguez

Colombian ace James Rodriguez is reportedly available for a cut-price fee of around £3 million on loan, with the former World Cup Golden Boot winner having fallen out of favour at current club Bayern Munich.

The German club have an abundance of talent already, and new boss Niko Kovac isn’t a huge fan of the South American playmaker. J-Rod is currently on a two-year loan from Real Madrid, but if Bayern want to cut the switch short, then his parent club will need another side to cover the final six months.

So the Gunners could, therefore, secure a massive move that could help bolster their season prospects as they attempt to finish in a strong European position.
